This is a comprehensive introduction workshop for those interested in learning non-linear editing with Final Cut Pro 7. You will learn basic system setup and interface for FCP7, basic 3-point editing, video transitions, advance editing tools including trimming and roll edits, media management, ingesting both tape-less and tape based media, logging, creating titles and importing graphics and other media. This introduction to Final Cut Pro gives a solid foundation to those new to editing and non-linear editing software, and provides hands-on experience enabling you to feel comfortable to edit on it.
No equipment or prior experience necessary. Students are provided with their own 21.5" quad-core iMacs. Personal equipment or projects are not permitted.

Whether you're new to editing, or an experienced Final Cut Pro editor looking to expand your skills, Premiere Pro is quickly becoming an important editing system in the world of post-production.
You will get an overview of software interface, system set-up, editing tools, keyboard shortcuts, logging, 3-point editing, video transitions, creating titles, adding video effects, media management, color-correcting, ingesting tape-less and taped-based media, working/editing with files created in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and exporting your edited sequences.
No equipment or prior experience necessary. Students are provided with their own 21.5" quad-core iMacs. Personal equipment or projects are not permitted.
